Deception

I tend to write about shows that I love like and this time I am discussing my new Monday night addiction...

DECEPTION

Tonight I will be discussing a line Julian gave....

whoever this guy is break his heart don't break mine....-Julian

If you are watching this show you know that Julian and Joanna use to date and he was her first love.... He used her and didn't take her serious and they may have been young but she loved him as most of us young women do when we are young. However, now that she and her long time detective buddy are dating he wants to get serious with her AND he wants her to leave him. When he made this statement it made me so upset. lol...

Sad part is I think she is considering it and my question is Why do we as women go back? Why do we find the man of our dreams and leave him for the guy who made us hurt before? Why do the men ALWAYS come back after you've moved on and realized you could do better? It's crazy.... There is always room for error and 2nd chances but why does it always happen that way.

As soon as you get a good guy, or get engaged, or they just find out you have a new love interest they want to come running back.... It happened to me but I'm glad I stayed with my main man because I'm pretty sure nothing changed with the other guy which was way over 7 years ago:)

I really think her and the other detective make a a great couple even though Julian is not to bad his self  and I believe she should give her self a chance at love and leave the past in the past especially since they still don't know who the killer is yet.

P.S. I really wanted to punch a whole in the tv when that reporter came in the bakery and blew her cover....

That's just my take on Monday's episode and I hope you're having a Terrific Tuesday:)

My Selfishly Greedy Husband

Today me and my husband went to Applebee's after church with some friends of ours and we got the 2 for $20 and with that you get an appetizer to "SHARE"....

Well, we didn't eat all of our food and of course we brought it home in to go boxes.... Time has gone by and I realized I want some of "our" applebees and I come downstairs to get some leftovers.
To my surprise even though it really wasn't a surprise because this happens all the time it was gone. The rest of our boneless wings and mozzarella sticks were all gone.

Our Conversation

Me: Did you eat all of it or did you save me some?
Hubbs: I ate all of it, it was only 2 of each left
Me: You know you are wrong right? I would've never done that to you. You are just selfish! LOL
Hubbs: But you have pasta leftover so I figured you would just eat that
Me: But you ate all of your food plus all of the appetizers
Hubbs: .......................................................

Those dots = Silence! HA! Convo was over after that....

We didn't really argue about it because this is a NORMAL conversation that happens at least twice a week. I mean this dude will eat up everything without thinking about the next person around him. I call him my personal garbage disposal because I can always depend on him to eat what I don't eat or what he "think" I won't eat. Most times I hide my food or I have to literally threaten him so he won't eat my stuff!
I'm like come on dude can I get my grub on or get excited about my leftovers without worrying if you ate it or not??? lol.... Most of my married girlfriends go through this and we always have our funny convos about it because we all deal with the "selfishly greedy husband"..... This dude even ate my Valentine's day chocolate "HE" got me and blamed it on our 1 year old daughter....lol..... I got it bad over here ladies!!!

Have you had these convos with your hubby? or had to come to the frig to see your food missing?

Happy Valentine's Day!

I love the fact that we can celebrate an actual day to show love to the people around us.... I know we do it year round but just having a day that is designated for love is pretty cool. Anywhoo, my babies woke up this morning to these cuties sitting in their dollhouse.....

Yesterday I went to our local grocery store (Kroger) to get a few items and let me just say I absolutely love kroger. They always have the best deals they had all of the Valentine's Day items 50% off.

I decided to get the girls something to surprise them and each bear was $1.99 and the ring pop's were .50 cents. They were happy and I figured the rest of the morning would go great but then here comes Madison giving me "mommy guilt" again.

As I was getting her ready for school I told her I wouldn't be coming to her Valentine's Day party at school and truth be told the reason I wasn't going was because I was tired. I go to everything else and this was one party I was willing to pass on. Well, she started crying and said that I am suppose to come and she really wants me there and so on. I proceeded to explain why I wasn't going and she wasn't hearing it. Daddy ended up taking her to school and the mommy guilt sat in.

My mind started playing games with me so I called him to "whine" about my guilt and he really encouraged me and told me not to stress about it. He said she is 4 years old and very fortunate to have a mother like you  and that he would stop by for me. I mean my husband is the best right? lol... About 30 mins later he calls back and said babe get some rest and I'll pick you up at 11:30 because the party starts a little later than expected so  Me and Mallorie ended up surprising her and one little girl said I wish you were my mommy and I felt so bad for her. I even got a cupcake:-)

So, around 5 pm I go get in the car to pick up the hubby and this is what was sitting in the car....

We decided to wait to give gifts and go out on Sunday because we always wait until a few days after V-Day to do something because we don't like being around all the many people who will be out for Valentine's but he wanted to surprise me with a small gift before then and I was very surprised.

Do yall see the Strawberries and Whipped Cream????

It's Going DOWN!!!! Lol

30 Day Challenge #7-9

I have missed 6 Challenges and I apologize for not following through but that's what makes this a "challenge" right? Lol...  However, I'm back and I am ready to get caught up.... I pray this encourages your spirit!

Day 7:

Galations 6:9- Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

(This has gotten me through a lot of tough times.... I could be weary, burdened down, and stressed out but this scripture encourages me every time. We have to stay strong and continue to be on God's side and run this race because in the end we will be blessed. Given up has definitely crossed my mind but I'd rather gain all the benefits of what God has for me for not giving up. The BEST is yet to come so don't give up)

Day 8:

Phillipians 4:13- I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens Me

(If you feel like you can't make it or accomplish your dream that has been on your heart to do.... Remember, you CAN because Jesus gives you the strength to do it....)

Day 9:

Psalm 34:18- The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in.

(He is close when you are down or suffering a terrible loss.... He saves you from depression and negative thinking. He comforts you when you need it most. Lean on God when you are troubled or sad. He IS there)

A little update!

*First let me start off by saying that I do apologize for the mishap of my pictures not showing in this Post
so if you are reading this I would greatly appreciate it if you could go back to my previous post and let me know if you can see them now! I hope I fixed it:-)

However, in this Post I talked about how my husband would be gone to California for almost a week but he is back and he got home around 11:00 pm last night and I was sooooo HAPPY!

I love my babies but 5 days without a little help was rough and I'm pretty sure I don't want to do that again for a very long time.

Shoutout to ALL military wives and single moms I don't know how you all do it but blessings to you!

The girls were so happy to see daddy too and they didn't even want to go to sleep

Thanks for all the encouragement in my previous post because God knows I needed it. I pray you all are having an awesome weekend!

God Bless

My Hair

As I grow my hair back out the "right way" by taking care of it I find it easier than I thought. You can read my post on my hair here......

My hair is relaxed and I don't plan on going natural at all.... I love the women with natural hair I just decided to continue to stay relaxed. It's easier for me to maintain it:-)

By taking care of my hair I have started to:

Wash it every 7 days
Moisturize it
Condition it
Style it myself

At this very moment my hair is extremely dry and needs to be washed and so on....... I just wanted to show you a few pictures of what I've done the last couple of weeks to my hair. It turned out great and I'm hoping that I can accomplish the same thing or better this weekend!

TLC'S: The Sisterhood

This show is based on First Ladies of Pastors in the Christian Community.

On the opening episodes Facebook, twitter, and most social networks were trying to get this show off of the air because they felt like it was a poor interpretation of what, who, and how First Ladies are in the church.
I honestly had reservations about it but after watching it, it wasn't as bad as everyone was portraying it to be. However, after just getting caught up on last night episode that I missed I was a tad bit disappointed.
These are my thoughts:
Let me say that even though Tara has her annoying ways she does not stray away from the Word of God and she represents him well. Ivy & Christina represented well on this episode too. At first I had some feelings about those two but they actually took a stand this week. DeLana is the only one they don't show hardly at all and that's because I think she actually thought the show would be different than what it is and I honestly don't blame her for not coming around. I wish she was in more scenes because I really like her.

Dominique has disappointed me in the WORSE way! She needs true Deliverance.... This show was something she should not have signed up for. I feel like her testimony could help so many people and God could really use her. Maybe this show was her way of crying out for help?... However, I would like to see this show turn into something positive and if it doesn't it really doesn't need another season. I will keep watching to see where it goes!

If you are watching it, what are your takes on it?

30 Day Challenge #6

Repentance
Our God is so Awesome! He gave his son to die for us and we are able to repent and have another chance to come back and live for him.
This is something that I must do and even though I know he heard me the first time I always repeat myself and ask him to forgive me more than once (don't judge me...lololol)
I am a sinner SAVED by GRACE
Don't forget to repent daily.... It's sort of like a "cleansing" taking place and its allowing you to get things right with God.
Lord, Thank you for allowing me to come back to you day in and day out.

30 Day Challenge #5

FEAR

I don't really have much to say tonight but I wanted to share one of my favorite scriptures about fear!
Have a Goodnight & God Bless!

He's Gone but he'll be back

My husband is in California with our Pastor and another leader for a conference and he will be there 5 looonnnggg days. He left early yesterday morning and I am already missing him. I cried the night before he left and maybe because I was a little jealous I mean he ALWAYS goes to these wonderful places alone or with people and I would love to experience it with him sometimes. However, I did tell him that I am happy that he was able to go. Whatever benefits he gets from it, I will definitely reap them to because we are 1 unit.

I'm SO ready to see him.... Any one that knows us, know that we are always together and we haven't been away from each other this long since 2010 and at that time we only had 1 child, so I have them for 5 loooonnngg days without daddy. HA!

Being away from him made me realize how much I really love him and want him in my life. I also felt like maybe we needed some time apart because he has been really stressed out about somethings and I believe he will come back refreshed. Yesterday, I cried a lot and the truth about me is that I am definitely a cry baby. I cry when I'm excited, nervous, and sad.

However, there is one person that is happy he's gone. Guess who that may be? Miss Madison.....
She told me last night that she doesn't want daddy to come back because she wants to stay with her Nana... Lol...

Anywho, that's my spill for the day. I'll leave you guys with a picture of us that we took about a month ago.

I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday.....

30 Day Challenge #4

Today our word is : WORRY

This is definitely a struggle of mine..... There are days when I don't worry and there are days when I do. Sometimes the worrying consumes me and I start over analyzing every little thing and why am I doing that when my God says that he will supply all of my needs....
I realize that sometimes we can worry because at one point in our lives there was a time when we hoped and prayed and believed God for something and that thing didn't go as planned. So, we start worrying.... Worrying that this thing that we need or want won't happen this time but throughout my life I've realized God's plans are not ours and whatever his plan is, it will manifest itself sooner or later.
If you're worried about money, marriage, life, or even your spiritual walk with Christ know that God will supply ALL of your needs according to his riches in glory. Every thing you've been praying about, he hears you and he knows. If you want to get closer to him and you're struggling, he hears and he knows!  If you're struggling financially and you don't know what's next..... If you're on the verge of a divorce and feel like there's nothing else left to do, Hold on. If you feel like life is getting the best of you, hold your head up! He will supply.

30 Day Challenge #3

I pray that everyone's Sunday was a Blessed one..... I just want to say that this Challenge has been truly amazing and I have met some amazing women in the past 3 days. People are blessed by this challenge and I hope you are blessed too.
Today's Word is: Anxiety

Let me say that this is something I struggle with A LOT.... I worry about every thing and sometimes I hate that about myself. However, as I encourage you I am encouraging myself as well..
When you worry it will weigh you down, it will make you feel like there's nothing else to lean on.... Don't let the pressures of life get you down. Dwell on the word of God and allow it to uplift your spirit and if that doesn't work go to watch inspirational clips by different preachers, play your favorite music. Whatever you need to do to make yourself not worry, Do it. Don't allow the devil to win. You are more than a conqueror!
We don't know what tomorrow holds so let's be anxious for nothing, cheer up, and allow today to be our best day!
Love you:-)

30 Day Challenge #2

Hey Yall..... Today's word is:
Strength
What the scripture means:

God is a place of trust in our time of need. He lifts us up when we are in trouble. Our burdens become his, our imperfections become his, and everything we need at our lowest point he gives it to us.
Small Prayer:

Lord,
Be with those tonight who are in need of your strength. Hold them in your arms and allow your presence to take away all of the emotional, physical, and mental strain that is weighing them down. Be there peace in the midst of the storm and bring them out as pure gold. Strengthen them for your kingdom and allow your will to be done in their life!
Amen

30 Day Challenge #1

I saw this link up on a friend's page and had to join..... Cat from this little life of mine started this challenge and I think its a pretty cool link up to get into God's word and encourage each other.....
If you would like to be apart of this awesome challenge please head on over and visit cat to join in with us.
Today's Word: Stressed

This verse simply means to give all your problems and heavy burdens to God and he will support you in all areas. He will hold you up when it seems like there is no one else around or anything to hold on too. God is there! Give it to God and let him fix it
Final Thoughts- Sometimes we try to fix things ourselves but it won't work and if it does work its only temporary. When you cast your cares upon him and give him everything. Be patient and allow God to move on your behalf. His timing is not ours and ours is not his. We (including myself) forget that when God is working and we give it to him we have to leave him alone and allow him to do what he does best. Its not always easy or comfortable but our Father has our best interest at heart.
Be encouraged, give it to God, and watch him move..... You are to Blessed to be Stressed!!!!
